Thanks. I really just didn't think I had anything much intelligent to
say about the show anymore. Last year was just so different, the show
was unrecognizable. Maybe someday it will come back in its original
form.

Reuben: I discovered this site last season and enjoyed your analysis and, especially, the live blogs. I also was upset when Joey Cook was booted. Too bad you missed this season - the quality of the singers was an order of magnitude better than last year and La'Porsha has been one of the all-time great Idols. (Gotta go - I'm on the West Coast and about to watch the final show - don't tell me who won).

Great finale! I really enjoyed it! They are all winners in the truest sense.
BTW...Since Idol decided to only tour the top 5 this year, then Idol should also use their connection within the industry to help the other 1/2 of the top 10 (or top 12) become the opening act for any number of stars they have a connection with.

I'm so very sad that American Idol is getting cancelled. Alas, popularity never last forever. That has been true for every number one juggernaut from the start of TV's history. Phenomenal hits like, I Love Lucy, M.A.S.H, The Cosby Show, Friends, etc., all had to come to an end eventually. But Idol had a longer & more successful run at #1 than any of them. It created more superstars than any of its imitators, or its predecessors. And almost single handedly, it revived a then struggling music industry.

If the time has come to end the show, then so be it. But its accomplishments & its legacy will never end. Job well done & good luck to all who've ever been a part of this historic journey. There will never be another "Moment Like This."

The finale will be Clark & JAX, with Clark winning. Not necessarily my personal picks. I don't have a horse in this race. Just indicating what the numbers strongly suggest.
